As If I Am NotThere

This is a first short analysis or a film trailer which is a similar sort of genre to the film trailer that we hope to produce which a psychological drama. We will base our trailer around the emotions in which the characters endorce and connect the audience with actors in an emotional bond. The way in which we shall do this is by only showing a variety of different camera angles of a few characters but try not to give to much of the story away. We will use such techniques found in the trailer below like close ups ad extreme close ups of actors faces maybe when in distress or traumatised. Different emotions can be edited for more effect for example, a woman smiling and turning around can be slowed down to show a happy time in life which will make the shot far more effective.

The sounds used in this trailer are extremely effective and go hand in hand with the genre of the film and the characters being portrayed. There are no expected sounds but only a soft tune playing throughout the whole trailer. The only diegetic sound heard is the last anf final sound to be heard which is the door slamming shut which signifies the end of the trailer. I think that this is anoutstanding way to end a trailer and would look for an opportunity when producing mine to use this sort of technique.
Summary found on IMDb:
A harsh dose of cinematic realism about a harsh time-the Bosnian War of the 1990s-Juanita Wilson's drama is taken from true stories revealed during the International Criminal Tribunal in The Hague. Samira is a modern schoolteacher in Sarajevo who takes a job in a small country village just as the war is beginning to ramp up. When Serbian soldiers overrun the village, shoot the men and keep the women as laborers (the older ones) and sex objects (the younger ones), Samira is subjected to the basest form of treatment imaginable.
